Research Technician

Job description

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail oriented individual to join our media preparation group. The successful candidate must be flexible and capable of thriving in a fast-paced collaborative environment. Previous experience in media preparation and sterile technique is required, and strong organization skills and impeccable record keeping are a must. Ability to work a flexible schedule (weekends, swing shift) is required.

Responsibilities

• Liquid and solid media preparation 
• General lab support, and reagent and chemical inventory tracking
• Reagent and supply ordering
• Bacterial competent cell preparation
• Preparation of plasmids from bacterial cells.

Requirements

• Minimum requirement is a BA/BS degree in Microbiology/Molecular Biology/Biochemistry or related field.
